Reasons why CUFS access may be deactivated or deleted

The FSS Security Office regularly monitors individuals access to financial data and systems. The following are examples of conditions that would cause a user's access to be deactivated or deleted.

  • User's access is no longer needed.
When the FSS Security Office is notified that a user's job duties no longer require access, the user's access is deleted. Complete the Change in Employment Status Form AR002 to request a partial delete of access for CUFS, or Data Warehouse or Edms.
  • User transfers to another University department.
Access is immediately deleted when a user transfers to another University department. The department the employee has left must immediately return the SecurID to OIT Data Security with a completed Changed in Employment Status Form AR002.
  • User employment at the University terminated.
Access is immediately deleted when a employee leaves University employment. The SecurID must be immediately returned to OIT Data Security with a completed Changed in Employment Status Form AR002.
  • User goes on a non-working leave of absence for longer than six weeks.
Access is deactivated for employees on non-working leaves for longer than six weeks. The employee's supervisor completes the Changed in Employment Status Form AR002 and sends it to OIT Data Security. Upon return from leave the user's access is automatically reinstated.
  • SecurID is returned to OIT Data Security.
All associated access is automatically deleted when the SecurID is returned. Replacement SecurID are excluded from this process.
  • Access verification reports of users
Access is automatically deleted for an employee where the delete action box is checked on access verfication reports.
  • Violation of financial data and systems security policies and procedures
The FSS security office determine the severity of the security violation. If the determination is made, access is revoked.
