FAQ from CUFS Users and Department Administrators

I found a SecurID that belonged to a former employee, what should I do with it?

SecurID are returned to OIT Data Security, 660 WBOB, 1300 S. 2nd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55454. Please include the Access Request Change of Status form, http://www.umn.edu/datasec/security.

Do I take my SecurID with me when I transfer departments?

No, the access you were granted was specific to your job within your department.  Please complete the Access Request Change of Status form and send it with your SecurID to OIT Data Security, 660 WBOB. When access is needed in the new department, complete the Access Request Form, http://www.umn.edu/datasec/security.

We have added another CUFS Area for our department during Budget Prep, do I automatically get CUFS Data Entry access to it?

Changes to your CUFS Access, including the addition of new areas to your current data entry access, must be done by completing the Access Request Form, http://www.umn.edu/datasec/security. Please make sure your RRC manager has signed your request then mail or fax to OIT Data Security, 660 WBOB; fax: 612-625-0303.

FAQ from Financial FormsNirvana Users and Division Administrators

Do I use the Access Request Form to get access to Financial FormsNirvana?

No, a new requester will work with an existing preparer or the Division Administrator to prepare the FNA form.  Current preparers wishing to modify their profiles should click on Use a Template, then FNA form. After the Division Administrator has approved it is then routed, as appropriate, to our office for approval.  Financial FormsNirvana is unique in that it provides online access request for improved decentralized management.

When I submit a FNA, it is returned with error message "You Did Not Provide a Valid X.500 Username/Password Combination." What do I do next?

The FNA form requires the requester to enter in the internet ID and internet password, which must be different than your enterprise systems password.  If you need help resetting your internet password, contact OIT Tech Help at 1-HELP.

My Enterprise Systems Password has expired, how do I change it?

Financial FormsNirvana requires an Enterprise Systems Password for access.  This password is user defined and expires every 100 days.  To change your password go to http://umn.edu/validate, enter your Internet ID and Enterprise Systems Password, then click on Update Account, then Password Change.

A FormsNirvana user terminated from our department, how do I delete the access to our division?

The Division Administrator is responsible for removing users from the division when access is no longer needed (terminations, transfers or just plain change in job duties).  Divisions Administrators use the FND template for the appropriate division(s).
